A PROJECT OF THE "YOUTH, THE ACTIVE" TRACK
Participation in diaspora initiatives by Ukrainian youth
Our organization is involved in international initiatives for Ukrainian youth abroad, collaborating with various platforms. These projects bring together young Ukrainians from different countries who work together to develop diaspora networks, youth leadership, and international support for Ukraine.
For us, it is important not only to participate in such meetings and discussions, but also to build meaningful connections among Ukrainian youth around the world. Through these initiatives, we exchange experiences, seek new forms of cooperation, and jointly create projects that help amplify the voices of Ukrainians abroad. We also want to serve as a bridge between these projects and Ukrainian youth outside Warsaw and around the world, including in Ukraine.
We are convinced that a strong and active network of Ukrainian youth around the world helps maintain a connection with Ukraine, fosters the development of civil society, and shapes a new generation of leaders who will work for the future of the country.
We collaborate with the Headquarters of Ukrainian Youth Organizations Worldwide, along with several other Polish initiatives, emphasizing the importance of the Polish dimension in our cooperation with Ukrainian youth abroad. The Headquarters’ network includes various initiatives in over 30 countries worldwide, including France, the United Kingdom, the United States, and others, which opens up opportunities for cooperation. The headquarters positions itself as a space that helps bring to life ideas that amplify the voice of Ukrainian youth worldwide. The initiative collaborates with the Network for the Protection of National Interests “ANTS” and the Lotus Fund.
Alians is a signatory to the Ukrainian Youth Charter, which was publicly announced on January 30, 2026, on the organization’s social media channels. The initiative’s first major project is the Global Internship Program, through which interested individuals will be able to join the Alians network as interns.
We also collaborate with the Ukrainian Students Forum (U-FORUM) — a project carried out by participants in a mentoring program led by human rights defender and chair of the Center for Civil Liberties (Nobel Peace Prize laureate) Oleksandra Matviichuk. The initiative takes the form of a two-day hybrid event featuring experts and youth initiatives from around the world to exchange experiences, opinions, ideas, and advice on strengthening advocacy for Ukraine’s interests abroad.
Alliance was selected to coordinate the in-person portion of the event in Warsaw, which took place on March 14, 2026. Alliance was responsible for organizing participation on the first day of the event and communicating with leading Ukrainian student initiatives in the city. At the Alliance’s invitation, representatives of the Molodi.Space and European Ukraine projects participated in the event. Additionally, the Alliance’s board chairman, Artur Koldomasov, had the opportunity to share the Alliance’s experience in combating disinformation during the final part of the event following a lecture by Dr. Jade McGlynn of the Royal College of London.
In total, 120 participants from 18 countries took part in the first day of the event, and the Warsaw chapter became one of nine across Europe.
